WebAssist Surveyor Enhances Site Map Management and SEO
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) July 15, 2008 -- WebAssist today announced Surveyor (http://www.webassist.com/go/surveyor), a new solution that provides marketing professionals and Dreamweaver developers and designers with the tool they need to greatly improve their search engine optimization (SEO) and better connect with site audiences.
Surveyor offers key SEO enhancements and ease-of-use for both organizations and visitors to their sites, including an XML site map generator readable by search engines, an HTML site map creator viewable by site visitors, and a reminder mechanism for developers to make sure their sites are always represented with the most up-to-date information in both XML and HTML site maps.
Based on Sitemaps, an open standard through a non-profit consortium supported by Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask.com, and IBM, Surveyor helps companies to effectively and powerfully map their sites in order to garner the highest rankings in the major search engines and attract the most relevant visitors possible.
In order to make the most of SEO, developers currently must hand-code XML site maps, an often time and labor-intensive process prone to error. Without ever having to touch the code, Surveyor users can quickly and easily prioritize their pages for SEO and add the necessary XML attributes required by Google, Yahoo, Live Search, Ask.com, and other major search engines for optimized results. The Surveyor wizard exports the XML maps of their standard or data-driven sites and, if desired, posts it directly to the search engines, realizing higher rankings, faster and better results, and more relevant placement and visitors from keyword searches.
Surveyor also generates CSS-based HTML site maps in order for visitors to find quickly what they're looking for. The HTML site map can be based on the XML map so both are always in synch, and it provides users with access to areas that aren't always vital for SEO. Designers can choose from a range of CSS-based designs with multiple columns, which can be easily customized within Surveyor.
Since sites are often changed and updated, Surveyor also includes a reminder panel called Memento that can be programmed on a recurring basis, insuring the most current and relevant information is shared with the search engines. After receiving notification, developers can resubmit new XML site maps that keep sites up-to-date and relevant within the search engines.
Marketing professionals are always looking to improve the relevancy and to increase exposure of their companies and products through search rankings. With standards created by major search engines and XML site mapping in play, Surveyor helps organizations with Dreamweaver-built sites to improve marketing through maximized exposure and increased, accurate click-throughs.
"Even the best designed websites still need the basic, yet extremely important, function of being found and easily searched by major search engines," said Michael Lekse, Vice President of Sales, WebAssist. "Surveyor provides a cutting-edge solution for Dreamweaver sites to effectively gain traction in search rankings with the added functionalities to make the XML mapping and submission process direct, seamless, and consistent."
Surveyor is available now for Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 and Dreamweaver 8, with a list price of $49.99 and an introductory price of $39.99 through July 29, 2008. For more information about Surveyor, please visit: http://www.webassist.com/go/surveyor.
