Park 'N Fly Network Alleviates Travel Angst - New Survey Finds Travelers Most Concerned About Not Having a Space to Park Their Car

Atlanta, GA (PRWeb) December 14, 2006 -- Heightened security regulations and traffic delays may increase travel angst this holiday season, but when it comes to parking their cars at the airport, almost three out of four (73 percent) travelers are worried that when they get to the airport that all the spaces will be full and they wont be able to park their car. The survey was released by the Park 'N Fly Network --the national leader in airport parking.

When asked about the most important attributes when considering where to park at the airport, two-thirds (67 percent) of respondents cited service, such as luggage assistance, frequent shuttles and friendly employees, as important factors, according to the Park 'N Fly Network survey.

"The results of our consumer survey affirm what we know from experiences and interactions with travelers at our off-airport parking facilities throughout the country," said David N. Grocer, senior vice president of marketing and sales for Park 'N Fly. "Having a convenient and reliable parking facility, with a guaranteed space where you can quickly drop off your vehicle and move onto your airport destination with minimal wait, alleviates a lot of the stress associated with travel around the holiday season."

Additional Park 'N Fly Network survey findings include:

- Mars vs. Venus: Seventy-five percent of women cited having to wait too long to get shuttled from the parking facility to the airport as a reason for concern this holiday season, and vice versa, compared to less than two-thirds of men (64 percent).

- Memory Joggers: More than half (52 percent) of survey respondents also indicate that not remembering where they parked their car was another major parking concern, followed by dragging their luggage from the car through the parking lot to the airport (50 percent).

- Generation Y and the Baby Boomers Agree: Overall, two-thirds (66 percent) agreed that their trip could be negatively impacted by a poor experience when parking their car. This was particularly true with both younger and older travelers. Travelers between the ages 18 to 24 and those 65 years and older, agreed that having a poor experience parking their car can negatively impact their trip (75 percent and 70 percent, respectively).

Park 'N Fly Network Guarantees Parking.
The Park 'N Fly Network offers service at only premier parking facilities with frequent shuttle service that pick-up and drop-off travelers at their car. All facilities feature friendly, courteous service including luggage assistance.

With parking facilities at major airports throughout the U.S. reaching capacity, travelers are finding it increasingly difficult to find dependable, safe and convenient parking. The Park 'N Fly Network allows travelers to book reservations at 65 parking locations around the United States. "If you've booked your trip for the holidays, now's the time to take care of your parking," Grocer added.

For ease and convenience this holiday season, travelers can reserve parking via online reservations at www.parknflynetwork.com.

Survey Methodology
The study results are drawn from telephone interviews with 342 U.S. adults 18+ years of age who indicated that they have traveled at least twice in the last year for business or pleasure. The margin of error associated with a sample of this type is ±4.5 percent. Telephone interviews were conducted by Opinion Research Corporation of Princeton, New Jersey, in December 2006 in collaboration with Park 'N Fly.
